Kathmandu: Former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is scheduled to appear today before the ‘Inquiry Commission 2082’, formed to investigate the incidents that occurred on Bhadra 23 and 24. He is expected to reach the commission’s office at noon to present his statement and provide information related to the events.

Lekhak was serving as Home Minister during the time of the incidents, which included vandalism and arson at the Supreme Court. The commission has summoned him as part of its efforts to establish the facts surrounding the situation and assess the role of the home administration.

Following his appearance before the commission, Lekhak is preparing to address the media at the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party office in Singha Durbar at 2 pm, where he is expected to make his position public.

The former minister’s statement is considered significant, as questions continue to be raised regarding the role of security agencies and the directives issued by the Home Ministry during the incidents. The commission has already taken statements from other security officials and concerned stakeholders as part of its investigation.
